• Pay up to £14.51 per hour
• Weekly pay up to £580 per week!!!
• Temporary to Permanent position

• Shift: 40 hours per week. 6am – 2:30pm

My client is well established, industry leading Steelwork Fabricating company. Based in North Yorkshire, they have seen year on year success, with further growth plans for 2026. They offer a range of services from, design, manufacturing through to installation. This has given the company opportunities to service a multitude of sectors, with a diverse client base stretching across the UK. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Painter to join their team on a Temporary to Permanent basis.

Main Duties:

• Apply paint and protective coatings to structural steel and related components to meet project specifications and quality standards.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine coating requirements and procedures.
• Prepare steel surfaces by cleaning, sandblasting, grinding, and applying chemical treatments to ensure proper coating adhesion.
• Operate spray guns, brushes, rollers, and other application tools to efficiently apply coatings to various steel surfaces.
• Mix, tint, and match paints and coatings to achieve accurate colour consistency and compatibility with existing finishes.
• Monitor, clean, and maintain painting and sandblasting equipment, including performing routine maintenance and minor repairs.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, quality standards, and environmental regulations associated with coating operations.
• Safely operate overhead cranes and material-handling equipment to move and position steel components for preparation and coating.

Role Requirements:

• Experience as paint shop operative in structural steel
• Excellent communication
• Use of Overhead Cranes
• Excellent eye for detail
• Flexibility with regards to shifts and over-time
